The Management and Leadership Network conference runs next Thursday.
What currently looks hushed under the carpet is the current status of keynote speaker, Karren Brady. You may know her has chief exec of Birmingham City Football Club, non exec of Mothercare, Chairman of Kerrang! and currently the target of an investigation along with Harry Rednap. I get the feeling from what I've read that it's just a case of investigation with no hint of her doing anything wrong. Karren's track record is impressive, I also like her cut to the chase style, her interviews in The Apprentice were always good.
I just wonder if she's going to turn up. I hope she does.
The bitter irony of all this is that the police had been keeping an eye on Portsmouth and Birmingham City since 2007 in something called "Operation Apprentice".... ouch.
